A bilateral procedure should be treated as one procedure with one line if they are done on the same day. Please leave the laterality blank in this situation because this is a situational field and will not error out. Sequential procedures (first one knee and then ~ 6 weeks to 3 months later) are treated as two separate procedures that might have some overlap in their post-op assessments.
