Are Doctors of Nursing Practice (DNP) required to be registered?
We understand that a DNP may or may not be licensed as an APRN, since there are many differing DNP tracks, not all of which lead to licensure. If the provider in question is licensed as an APRN and performing APRN-level duties, the provider should be registered as an APRN, regardless of their DNP degree.
DNPs that are APRNs should be registered with the required provider registration. If the DNP is not an APRN, you may opt to register them with the Other Provider registration.
